How long does it take to learn SAP?
SAP is a large complex system with many modules. How long it takes to learn really depends on your existing IT skills, knowledge of SAP and how much of SAP you want to learn.
A lot of SAP can be learned in a few months if you dedicate the time to learning. Also some people learn quicker than others. Most people who learn SAP learn the core module FICO (Finance and Controlling) and another one or two modules. Even SAP experts only specialise in one or two modules as the system is so large and complex.
Can I change the manuals?
Yes. The manuals are supplied in Microsoft Word format and you are free to edit the manuals.
Every implementation of SAP is different - chart of accounts, companies, office locations, warehouses, staff, etc.
Many people find this invaluable because they want to create their own manuals that are customised for their implementation of SAP.
One of the most difficult parts of implementing SAP is documenting the system and training staff. These manuals can be used to "short cut" that process.
